Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr., an Illinois Democrat, is expected to resign his House seat on Wednesday, according to a report in the Chicago Sun-Times. Jackson, who has recently been treated for bipolar depression, is expected to hand in his resignation to House Speaker John Boehner, the Sun-Times reported, citing a source close to Jackson. Jackson hasn’t been active in politics for more than five months, but won re-election earlier this month with 63% of the vote.H/T Gateway Pundit
