Yep, armed federal law enforcement officials are being told to run away from active shooters in public spaces and if they absolutely have to they can throw things at them to dissuade them from shooting everyone in sight. After I read this story last week my first thought was could they call them names or would that be considered too aggressive and damaging to the shooters self esteem. Seriously, you can't make stuff like this up. Homeland Security is teaching its agents to run away and allow shooters to kill unarmed men, women and children. I want to know what well protected knot head in the obama administration came up with this one. Here is something else to consider as well. This attitude in Homeland Security might explain how several Border Patrol agents have found themselves in legal difficulty over the last several years. I know this if I was laying on the floor at a mall after being shot and I looked up to see several BP personal in full flight I would be more than a little miffed.
Border Patrol union blasts Homeland Security instructions to 'run away' and 'hide' from gunmen
Border Patrol agents in Arizona are blasting their bosses for
telling them, along with all other Department of Homeland Security
employees, to run and hide if they encounter an "active shooter."
It's one thing to tell civilian employees to cower under a desk if a
gunman starts spraying fire in a confined area, say members of Tucson
Local 2544/National Border Patrol Council, but to give armed law
enforcement professionals the same advice is downright insulting. The
instructions from DHS come in the form of pamphlets and a mandatory
computer tutorial.
“We are now taught in an ‘Active Shooter’ course that if we
encounter a shooter in a public place we are to ‘run away’ and ‘hide’"
union leader Brandon Judd wrote on the website of 3,300-member union
local. “If we are cornered by such a shooter we are to (only as a last
resort) become ‘aggressive’ and ‘throw things’ at him or her. We are
then advised to ‘call law enforcement’ and wait for their arrival
(presumably, while more innocent victims are slaughtered)."

You gotta remember Aggie that these are the same "leaders" who won't come out and say the word "terrorist", referred to the slaughter at Fort Hood as "workplace violence" and continue to name acts of terrorism as "man caused disasters".
ReplyDeleteIf they don't have the stones to even use the correct verbiage about these things how can we expect them to actually address the real problems facing us.
You can bet this policy came down straight from the top. Either Omama and or Holder and Napolitano. I am so disgusted with these people I could freaking scream.
nah screaming doesn't work....work to boot his goofy big eared ass
