Obama's New World Is A Welfare State .... Welcome To Obama's New World

Well the pace of change is rolling along nicely and if your a liberal / democrat / progressive, Paradise is within grasping distance. According to an article in the Wall Street Journal 1/2 of ALL  households in the U.S. today have at least 1 person who are receiving government benefits. Instead of standing on assembly lines, we now stand in welfare and unemployment lines. The liberals tell us that we can indeed afford this ....if we just raise taxes on the rich. Personally I don't think there are enough rich in the world to pay our bills today let alone what is coming down the pike. In any case with 1/2 of all U.S. households with at least 1 member receiving government benefits and with close to 50 % of those who work or have an income not paying federal income taxes I wonder how people think this is going to end.  JUST A LITTLE FUN FACT ...1 of those who are receiving government benefits is obama's ILLEGAL ALIEN  auntie who lives in Boston public housing and receives 700.00 a month cash benefits, housing and medical. She has never paid a dime into the coffers of the U.S. treasury and her nephew is a multi millionaire but we tax payers are supporting her.

  • Number of the Week: Half of U.S. Lives in Household Getting Benefits

49.1%: Percent of the population that lives in a household where at least one member received some type of government benefit in the first quarter of 2011.

Cutting government spending is no easy task, and it’s made more complicated by recent Census Bureau data showing that nearly half of the people in the U.S. live in a household that receives at least one government benefit, and many likely received more than one.

The 49.1% of the population in a household that gets benefits is up from 30% in the early 1980s and 44.4% as recently as the third quarter of 2008.
