Something Wicked This Way Comes

It seems that we here in NEPA are soon to be blessed with the presence of  royalty.Yep its true, nancy pelosi will soon be in our midst. She will be attending a fund raiser for local Congressional candidate democrat matt cartwright. Pelosi while in town to attend a wedding decided that since she was going to be here anyway she might as well help out the local liberal. For those of you who wish to attend, the ante is a mere 1000.00 to gain entrance and 2500,00 for a Polaroid moment, yep a paltry 2500 bucks. Personally I don't think this is a very good optic for cartwright. While running in the primary he tried to come across as the working mans savior but if one of his first public events after securing the nomination is to have a West coast elitist San Francisco liberal jet in to bitter clinger country to put the arm on the local elites ya have to wonder if he was funning us.  The optics remind me of a fun house mirror, if you look at it to long it gives you a headache.

After cartwright's win in the primary I made a comment on a local newspaper blog that he was far closer in ideology to nancy pelosi than he was to the average man or woman here. I was not so gently chided with one poster suggesting I was an idiot and that cartwright was a very good fit for the local area. I laughed and thought time will tell. Anyway the Flying Monkeys are coming and if your name is Dorothy or you have a little dog stay inside June 9 or arm yourself with a good squirt gun..... or a bucket of water.
